Companions:  Elders Bushman and Dastrup

(Click on the images below to view a larger (3x) version)

This must have been taken at some Zone meeting in Farmington (or something), everybody is dressed nice for a change.  At far left is Elder Quiner with his companion in the middle (with his back turned).  They were assigned to Cove, AZ at the time.  Elder Bushman, my companion, is at far right.

Photo of me pausing along a road in the Cove, AZ area.  This was probably taken within a few weeks of the end of my mission.

Blurry (sorry!) photo of Shiprock city, in foreground, and Shiprock geological feature, in background.

My version of one of the most photographed landmarks in Navajoland: Shiprock.

Landscape photo taken in the Cove, AZ area.  This was taken in late Winter, but you can see Spring approaching.

A little different view of Shiprock.

Elder Quiner pauses along the road during splits up in Cove, AZ.

The long and lonesome road.  Elder Quiner poses for a picture that I'm sure brings back memories for all of us.

The Shiprock Elders' trailer:  possibly the largest and most luxurious accomodations for Elders in Navajoland.
